Suzanne Sterling & Dave Stringer Concert

SUZANNE STERLING is an ecstatic vocalist and composer whose devotional music has been called a “groove-loving and seductive journey into Spirit.”

Suzanne offers a unique blend of yoga, music, and sacred ceremony to conferences and festivals worldwide. She has been a featured speaker/artist at several Yoga Journal Conferences, The Esalen Institute, The Institute of Noetic Sciences, Earthdance, Burning Man, Reggae on the River and The World Festival of Sacred Music (hosted by the Dalai Lama). Suzanne is also a co-creator, with Seane Corn and Hala Khouri, of Off the Mat, Into the World, an project offering nationwide training programs combining yoga and sustainable activism.

DAVE STRINGER is an accomplished composer, multi-instrumentalist and singer, and has a special gift for bringing people together in ecstatic chant - his own version of “Kirtan”- devotional, group singing.

Since 2000, Dave and a diverse ensemble of accompanying musicians have toured North America and Europe, developing new venues for music, and expanding the audience for Kirtan. His sound marries the transcendent mysticism of traditional Indian instruments with the exuberant, groove-oriented sensibility of American gospel, and he is regarded as one of the most gifted singers in the genre. Dave’s work creates a modern and participatory theatrical experience out of the ancient traditions of Kirtan and yoga, open to a multiplicity of interpretations, and accessible to all.
