


Bette Timm has been a practicing Vedic astrologer for over 17 years, and dedicated to the study of various Vedic traditions for over 30 years. Mentored by Hart deFouw, she organized Mr. deFouw’s astrology courses in the Bay for many years and is a board member of the Vedic Vidya Institute. Ms. Timm has written numerous articles on Jyotisha, Yoga, Ayurveda and other spiritual, philosophical and metaphysical subjects. Her teachings are lively and insightful, always incorporating the deep wisdom of the Vedas.

Bret Lyon combines Reichian Breathwork with Somatic Experiencing, Focusing, Buddhist Philosophy, Body Awareness and Attachment Training. He has been helping people reduce stress and anxiety and expand energy and aliveness for over 25 years. He also runs training programs for psychotherapists and body workers. Bret holds doctorates in both Psychology and Drama.

Carol Kress is a Feldenkrais® practitioner who has maintained a long and varied private practice. Her work is informed by her long-time involvement in equestrian arts, thorough study of yoga and dedicated practice of the martial art of Aikido.
Awareness Through Movement® classes with Carol Kress are offered at the Feldenkrais Resources Center. Tuition is $8 per class. Drop-ins welcome.

Douw is a certified Rolfer, trained at the Rolf Institute in Boulder Colorado in 1997. He has had hundreds of hours of continuing education in Rolfing subjects, as well as courses in visceral manipulation. Doug has also been involved in a craniosacral certification program with Hugh Milne since 2003.

Elaine Yoder is a certified Feldenkrais® practitioner (learning through movement) and a Hendrickson Method® practitioner (orthopedic massage). She is a 5th degree black belt in Aikido, and has taught Aikido for over 20 years. She is also a co-founder of the Low Fee Feldenkrais Clinic.

Giorgia expresses over 20 years experience in health care, consciousness practices and craniosacral work. She is a practitioner and teacher of biodynamic and Visionary Craniosacral Work models, student of the Diamond Approach for over 12 years and now in the DA Seminary. Honoring the forces that create, maintain and heal.

Heather’s style of work embodies several techniques that she has integrated over the past eight years, encompassing yoga, nutrition, acupuncture, energy work & vibrational medicine, chinese herbology, & tui-na. This work provides relief for a range of conditions including PMS and gynecological complaints, digestive disorders, pain conditions, headaches, and auto-immune diseases.

Hugh is a third-generation Scottish osteopath. He graduated from the British College of Naturopathy and Osteopathy in 1971. He offers sessions, and teaches classes in Visionary Craniosacral Work.

Jennifer Taylor is the co-founder of Blue Sage Ayurveda and has a private healing and teaching practice in Berkeley at Rudramandir. Her early years in ballet and gymnastics prepared Jennifer for a natural transition during her 20s into teaching yoga. Jennifer’s teaching style is influenced mainly by Iyengar and Hatha yoga. Jennifer taught yoga in the South Bay for many years before transitioning into Ayurveda. She has also been authorized by Swami Khecaranatha to be an Assistant Teacher in his Sacred Space kundalini meditation practice.

Jessie offers Ayurvedic consultations to explore diet and lifestyle choices for optimum health, and a variety of Ayurvedic body therapies, including Abhyanga and Shirodhara. She also practices shiatsu and acupressure. Jessie recently returned from studies in India with the Iyengar family and renowned Ayurvedic physician, Dr. Vasant Lad. In addition to her Ayurvedic practice, Jessie teaches yoga in the Iyengar tradition at Oakland Yoga Studio and Adeline Yoga Studio. Jessie is eternally grateful for the teachings of all her instructors and students.

Kay Ellyard began taking Awareness Through Movement classes in the early 1970’s from the dancer Chloe Scott – one of the first practitioners trained by Moshe Feldenkrais in the USA. Kay experienced the teaching of Moshe Feldenkrais directly during a workshop in the mid 1970’s. She began teaching movement exploration in the early 1980’s and graduated from the Feldenkrais Practitioner Training taught by David Zemat-Bersin and Elizabeth Beringer in 2000. Kay is a co-founder of the Low Fee Feldenkrais Clinic.

Sheila Rubin is a Marriage and Family Therapist who has helped people develop conscious relationships with themselves, their partners and children for over 20 years. She provides individual psychotherapy, and family/ couples sessions. Groups include Embodied Storytelling, Conscious Relationship, Eating Disorders, and Drama Therapy Training. Sheila teaches at JFK Somatic Psychology Program and CIIS.

Sonia Foscoli is a Certified Massage Therapist & Aston-Patterner®, and a Hatha Yoga instructor. Sonia’s background includes training and experience in Therapeutic Massage, Energy Balancing, and Cranial Sacral Therapy. She works in conjunction with businesses incorporating movement and yoga classes in their wellness programs.
